A beautiful bottle can still fail on the shelf if the closure is wrong. The dispensing system controls dose, hygiene, leakage and the entire "feel" of using the product — and it is the part customers touch every single day.

At ShiJin we make bottles and closures together, so neck finish, color and torque are validated as one system. This guide walks through the four closure families we ship most — lotion pumps, fine-mist sprayers, dropper pipettes and caps — and how to pick the right one.

ShiJin closure & dispensing capability — at a glance

  • Bottle + closure as one set: pumps, sprayers, droppers and caps validated to the same neck finish (e.g. 18/415, 20/410, 24/410) in one factory.
  • Custom-matched color: closures color-matched to your bottle in Pantone or by sample — the fastest route to a cohesive, premium look.
  • 600+ stock moulds across bottle ranges, plus a closure catalogue covering standard and custom actuators.
  • MOQ 5,000 pcs per SKU; stock-color closures with stock moulds can often start lower.
  • Certified: ISO 9001 · FDA · SGS · EU 10/2011; food- and cosmetic-grade resins available, with declarations of compliance.

Why the Closure Matters as Much as the Bottle

The closure is where function meets brand. A 30 ml serum in a gorgeous PETG bottle still frustrates users if the dropper drips or the collar loosens in transit. Three things ride on the closure choice:

Lotion & Treatment Pumps

🧴

Lotion & Treatment Pumps Screw / Crimp

The default for lotions, shampoos, body wash and hand soap. A standard pump dispenses about 1.5–2.5 ml per stroke; a mini treatment pump dispenses ~0.2–0.5 ml for precise doses. Available in screw (removable) or crimp (tamper-evident, press-on) versions, with transparent, white or custom-colored actuators.

Best for: 100–750 ml lotions, shampoos, conditioners, hand soaps and thicker serums where a controlled squirt is wanted. Neck finishes we stock include 24/410, 24/415 and 28/410. Pair with our capacity & shape guide to size the bottle first.

Fine-Mist Sprayers & Trigger Sprayers

💧

Fine-Mist & Trigger Sprayers 20/410 · 24/410

A fine-mist sprayer turns a liquid into an even, feather-light cloud — ideal for toners, essences, facial mists and setting sprays. Trigger sprayers deliver higher output for hair mist, disinfectant and room spray. Both come in transparent or colored actuators with a clear overcap for transit.

Best for: 50–200 ml toners and mists (fine mist), 200–500 ml hair/setting sprays (trigger). Output and spray pattern are tunable; tell us your product and we will spec the right sprayer.

Dropper Pipettes (Serum & Oil)

💉

Dropper Pipettes Serum · Oil

The signature closure for 15–30 ml serums and facial oils. A glass or plastic pipette with a tamper-evident collar gives controlled, low-dose application and a clinical, premium feel. Bulb color and collar can be matched to the bottle for a unified look.

Best for: 10–30 ml serums, oils, concentrates and spot treatments. See our capacity selection guide for the standard serum sizes we mould.

Screw Caps, Flip-Top & Disc-Top Caps

🔩

Screw, Flip-Top & Disc-Top Caps Everyday

The workhorses for creams, powders, wipes and samples. Screw caps seal tightly; flip-top and disc-top caps give one-handed dispensing for creams and gels. All are available in custom colors and can carry a tamper-evident ring.

Best for: jars, sample sachets, and any format where a precise dose is not required but a secure, low-cost seal is. Often paired with a pressure-sensitive or induction liner for freshness.

How to Match a Closure to Your Product

  1. Decide the dose. Precise dose → pump or dropper. Free-flow → cap. Mist → sprayer.
  2. Fix the neck finish. Tell us your bottle's neck (e.g. 24/410) so we match threads exactly — this is the #1 cause of leakage complaints.
  3. Match the color. Send a Pantone or physical sample; we color-match closure to bottle for a cohesive look.
  4. Validate transit. We recommend a drop-test and torque check on filled samples before committing to a production run.
"Nine out of ten leakage complaints we see from other suppliers come from mixing bottles and closures bought separately. Sourcing both from one factory removes the guesswork." — ShiJin packaging team

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a crimp pump and a screw pump?

A crimp (or press-on) pump is mechanically secured to the bottle neck with a crimping tool — it is tamper-evident and common for premium serums and lotions, but it cannot be opened by the end user. A screw pump threads onto a standard neck finish (e.g. 24/410) and can be removed and re-tightened, which is preferred for refillable or larger formats. ShiJin supplies both and will recommend the neck finish that matches your bottle mould.

Which closure is best for a facial serum?

A dropper pipette (glass or plastic) with a tamper-evident collar is the standard for 15–30 ml serums and facial oils, because it gives controlled, low-dose application. For higher-viscosity treatment creams, a small lotion pump is a better fit. Both are available in matching custom colors at ShiJin.

Can I get custom-colored closures to match my bottle?

Yes. Closures are color-matched to your bottle using Pantone or a physical sample — pumps, sprayers, droppers and caps can all be produced in the same custom shade. Matching the closure to the bottle is one of the fastest ways to make a brand look cohesive and premium.

What dose does a standard lotion pump dispense?

A standard lotion pump dispenses roughly 1.5–2.5 ml per stroke, while a treatment (mini) pump dispenses about 0.2–0.5 ml for precise doses. Output volume is chosen by neck size and actuator, and ShiJin can specify the right dose for your formula and usage.

Are ShiJin closures food-contact and cosmetic safe?

Yes. Closures are supplied in cosmetic- and food-grade resins where applicable, and ShiJin's bottles and closures are covered by ISO 9001, FDA, SGS and EU 10/2011 documentation. Material statements and declarations of compliance are available on request for your QA and import files.

Do you supply closures together with the bottle as a set?

Yes. ShiJin supplies bottle + closure as a matched set from one factory, so neck finish, color and torque are validated together. This avoids the common problem of buying bottles from one supplier and pumps from another, only to find the threads do not seal.

Which closure suits a toner or essence (mist)?

A fine-mist sprayer (typically 20/410 or 24/410 neck) is the standard for toners, essences and facial mists in the 100–200 ml range. For a stronger spray (setting spray, hair mist), a trigger or high-output sprayer is used. ShiJin stocks both transparent and colored sprayers.

What is the MOQ for custom closures or matched bottle+closure sets?

MOQ is 5,000 pcs per SKU for custom-colored closures and matched sets, consistent with ShiJin's bottle MOQ. Stock-color closures paired with stock moulds can often start lower; contact sales with your neck finish and target volume for an exact quote.
